Essential Duties:
  • Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and supportive manner
  • Support proposals, technical write ups, and provides quotes to Sales and BD
  • Completion of activity on-time and budget while meeting the applicable technical requirements
  • Lead a technical group independently
  • Develop electrical layouts based on specifications/requirements
  • Complies with the engineering playbook and works to optimize its content
  • Drives best practices and lessons learned
  • Proactively drives leadership sponsored initiatives
  • Manages budgets, costs, and schedule inputs for projects assigned
  • Makes commitments and keeps them.
  • Drives the compliance with design to cost, weight, and manufacture
  • Participates in and leads technical reviews
  • Hands-on building, fitting, and testing prototypes
  • Supports, communicates, reinforces, and defends the mission, values, and culture of the organization
  • Adheres to all quality and safety standards
  • Supports other projects and performs duties as assigned
  • Available for travel as required
  • Communicates clearly (written and oral) with other company personnel, the customer, and vendors as required

Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:
  • BS Engineering from accredited school required;
  • MS Engineering, PE License and/or MBA preferred
  • 6 plus years' experience in similar technical role with military and defense applications.
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand English
  • Able to work independently on a weekly basis
  • Competent technical expertise
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with the shop/laboratory and equipment
  • Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the company
  • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint is essential). SAP experience a plus
  • Possesses Strong, proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Possesses Strong, proven problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Possesses effective oral and written communication skills
  • Mechanically/Electrically inclined and able to problem solve with little information.
  • Product development experience- concept to production release in a production environment.
  • Ability to offer their own opinions and commentaries while being flexible and responsive to constructive feedback by managers and peers.
  • Application of technical principles/techniques from established practices, as well as a functional knowledge/understanding of electrical engineering processes, techniques, and practices to quickly/accurately perceive the fit, form, function, and manufacturability of design.
  • Possesses ability to create and check Schematics/Wiring Diagrams
  • SolidWorks and Solidwoks Electrical experience required; AutoCAD experience required;
  • In-depth knowledge of ASTM E1851-15, IEEE 299, MIL-STD-285, MIL-STD-188/125, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-464.
  • Military/ defense experience preferred.
