Position Summary The Senior Engineer is responsible for providing the characterization of process optimization strategies and/or troubleshooting of operational issues in the operations, manufacturing, pilot plant or capital projects environment. This role requires strong expertise in equipment characterization, validation processes, and inspection systems, with a particular focus on packaging operations.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and execute equipment characterization and validation activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) in compliance with applicable standards and procedures.
- Provide technical expertise in vision systems and inspection system analysis, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Support and improve packaging processes, with emphasis on efficiency, quality, and compliance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex engineering issues impacting production or system performance.
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems requiring the regular use of ingenuity and creativity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Manufacturing, and Maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including protocols, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.
- Participate in risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure process robustness.
- Support new product introductions, equipment upgrades, and technology transfers as needed.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications - Doctorate in Engineering OR
- Master's degree in Engineering + minimum 2 years of engineering experience OR
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering + minimum 4 years of engineering experience
Work Schedule - 8-hour administrative shift
- Overtime may be required based on business needs
