  • Lead projects, interfacing with disciplines, clients, and contractors.
  • Mentor and coordinate production staff efforts.
  • Maintain project design budgets and schedules, ensuring quality results.

Full Job Description
Sr. Electrical Engineer - Building Systems in the below posting location. In this role, you will assume multi-project responsibilities for Power, Lighting and Fire Alarm design. It is client-facing, entrepreneurial and reports to a senior engineering manager or Principal, who will also provide mentoring and training opportunities to help you grow.

What You'll Do:
  • Prepare accurate power, lighting and fire alarm construction drawings, including specifications.
  • Perform construction administration, including submittal reviews and project revisions during construction.
  • Prepare preliminary schematics through final designs for projects, including calculations, equipment selection, and layouts.
  • Actively engage in and assume responsibility for code research and application.
  • Interface with other disciplines, clients, and contractors, leading projects to successful completion
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coordination of the production staff.
  • Assist in maintaining project design budgets and schedules while pursuing quality results.
  • Perform quality control reviews of electrical work done by others.
  • Assist in business development activities, including writing fee proposals and conducting project scoping walks with potential clients.
  • Other duties, as assigned.


What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering
  • 7+ years of professional experience in power and lighting design for buildings.
  • A Professional Engineering License (PE) is required.
  • Prior management or mentoring of staff required.
  • Design experience relative to medium/large commercial and institutional facilities
  • Strong familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Carrier HAP, Trane Trace, or similar
  • Strong and communicative team player in a multi-disciplinary environment, able to fully lead projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to contribute to several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel.
