Full Job Description
The Role

BeyondTrust is looking for a Sr. Director, Procurement to lead and scale our Global Procurement function. This person will oversee the end-to-end Procurement process, including sourcing, category strategy, and managing vendor relationships across multiple spend categories and geographies.

In this role, you'll create and manage a procurement strategy that supports company goals, manages compliance risk without slowing the business down, and positions procurement as a trusted partner to the business through clear, practical processes. You'll lead and develop the Procurement team while building the metrics and reporting that give leadership real-time visibility into performance and spend. This role is a strong fit for someone who can balance strategy and execution, drive continuous improvement and automation, and build strong relationships across the company.

What You'll Do
  • Lead Procurement as a strategic business lever - building a function that unlocks value through negotiations, partnerships, and category strategies, and engages stakeholders early in the buying cycle.
  • In partnership with business leaders, build a unified Procurement operating model that spans our global operations and scales with the business.
  • Lead high-value vendor negotiations and contract renewals, driving measurable cost savings and favorable terms across key spend categories.
  • Own the vendor lifecycle - from onboarding and due diligence through performance evaluations, service and quality standards, and risk mitigation.
  • Build an AI-first procurement function, proactively identifying where automation, AI tooling, and modern workflows can reduce manual work, shorten cycle times, and free the team to focus on higher-value decisions like negotiations and strategy.
  • Establish SLAs, KPIs, and reporting that give stakeholders and leadership clear visibility into procurement savings, financial performance, and spend.
  • Own and strengthen procurement's policies, processes, and governance framework, including controls and approval authority, to keep the function consistent and audit-ready as it scales.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and applicable legal requirements, partnering with Legal as needed.
  • Own and optimize Coupa as our procurement system of record, partnering with Financial Systems and Information Systems to ensure it integrates effectively with NetSuite and supports the team's workflows.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships across the company, including Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Security, and HR, positioning Procurement as a trusted partner rather than a bottleneck.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing Procurement team, building the structure and talent needed to support the business as it scales.

What You'll Bring
  • 12-15+ years of progressive procurement experience, including 5+ years leading a team.
  • A track record of delivering quantifiable cost savings and efficiency gains through procurement-led initiatives.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience running complex vendor negotiations - including SaaS, technology, and professional services agreements - with working knowledge of related contract and licensing terms.
  • Experience establishing SLAs, KPIs, and reporting frameworks that give stakeholders clear visibility into procurement performance.
  • Hands-on experience with leading Business Spend Management platforms, preferably Coupa, and familiarity with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
  • Experience operating in a small or lean procurement team while helping it scale - comfortable moving between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
  • Proven ability to grow and develop high-performing teams, with strong communication and feedback skills.
  • A collaborative, relationship-driven approach, with a track record of building trust and credibility with Finance, Legal, and business partners across the organization.
  • Experience in a high-growth, fast-paced environment, ideally within technology or SaaS.
  • Bachelor's degree required.

Nice To Have
  • Experience integrating AI tools into procurement or finance workflows to improve efficiency and decision-making.
  • Experience in the cybersecurity or broader technology industry.
  • Familiarity with SOX controls, internal audit processes, and risk frameworks as they apply to Procurement.
  • CPSM, CPM, or a similar procurement certification.
  • MBA or other advanced degree.
