Manage to a level of operational excellence all aspects of supply chain, manufacturing value streams and traditional manufacturing product lines and shifts. Improve quality, assure regulatory compliance, and support the achievement of competitive growth in sales, earnings and market share. Develop and drive a shop floor transformation and continuous improvement culture that promotes consistency of behaviors, accountability, strong problem-solving skills, and operational and quality excellence that lead to superior business performance. Implement manufacturing strategy that is process oriented and data driven, but agile as needed to maximize equipment utilization, minimizes work in process and remains integrated to MicroPort marketing and growth plans.
Your duties will include:Must display and maintain a high level of proficiency in the activities below:
- Lead and direct all manufacturing production and supply chain activities (production plans, scheduling, budgets, progress toward objectives)
- Collaborate across the Supply chain network (other sites, vendors, etc.) to insure multi-source capability and reliability in product production and delivery.
- Ensure a safe working environment and focus on risk reduction and elimination in the workplace
- Lead and direct ongoing analysis of labor, machine, engineering & facility capacity. Ensure readiness and develop growth plan to accommodate future demand
- Participate in planning of new products and processes (design, risk analysis, process validations)
- Monitor & analyze process performance in both manufacturing and, if appropriate, at suppliers
- Organize & promote company-wide quality improvement efforts, direct efforts to improve the quality system's overall compliance, effectiveness & efficiency while striving to reduce costs
- Lead, direct and support in the review of product failures, complaint investigations and corrective/preventive actions
- Lead & direct the Supply Planning function in support of forecasting of inventory demands, recognize & track sales and trends
- Manage purchasing activities, supplier base & vendor performance
- Lead & direct in the customer experience, logistics, and product distribution areas of the business
- Attract, retain, hold accountable and encourage individual performance and development of key personnel for future assignments by arranging appropriate formal feedback, training, development, and / or other experiences.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of overall supply chain management including MRP, DRP, ERP, forecasting, manufacturing attainment, and on time / in full product delivery.
- Comply with regulatory requirements (Quality Systems Regulations, ISO, MDD, Quality Manual, EHS, etc.) as they apply to medical devices. Stays abreast of emerging regulatory trends.

YOUR EDUCATION Required: Bachelor's degree in mfg. discipline, engineering or business
Preferred: Masters's Degree
YOUR EXPERIENCE10+ years of progressive and extensive applicable work experience in manufacturing, logistics, quality, and/or engineering, medical technology background preferred.
- Manufacturing experience in some or all the following disciplines a plus: medical device manufacturing, foundry, CNC machining, metal finishing, cleaning of metals / plastics, packaging, quality.
- Must have proficiency and experience in the following areas: capacity planning and development; budgeting for multiple profit centers; development of quality/productivity plans; new product process development; manufacturing flow analysis and implementation, personnel selection, management, and development.
