GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The Senior Director of Data & Organizational Efficiency is responsible for advancing Alpha Delta Pi's use of data and organizational information to support effective decision-making and organizational performance. Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this position provides strategic leadership for business intelligence, data analysis, performance measurement, and organizational efficiency.

The Senior Director works across the organization to connect data from multiple systems and sources, establish meaningful measures of performance, and develop insights that inform organizational priorities and business decisions. This includes leveraging information from the CRM, member and chapter systems, surveys, research, internal reporting, and other organizational data to develop a more comprehensive understanding of member experience and organizational performance.

Serving as a strategic partner to executive leadership and departments across Alpha Delta Pi, the Senior Director translates complex information into clear analysis and actionable recommendations. The position works closely with Information Technology, Human Resources, and other organizational leaders to strengthen the connection among people, processes, technology, and data and identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.

DUTIES PERFORMED

Data & Business Intelligence
  • Lead Alpha Delta Pi's enterprise data and analytics strategy, including the development of dashboards, reporting tools, and key performance indicators.
  • Develop and maintain executive dashboards and organizational scorecards using Power BI or comparable business intelligence platforms.
  • Connect and analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, relationships, opportunities, and risks.


  • Establish consistent definitions, measures, and reporting standards so leaders can confidently use organizational data.
  • Assess the organization's existing data sources, reporting capabilities, and technology to identify opportunities for better integration and utilization.
  • Partner with Information Technology to improve data integration, system capabilities, and the organization's overall data infrastructure.
  • Develop a roadmap for strengthening Alpha Delta Pi's business intelligence and analytics capabilities.

Organizational Insights & Decision Support
  • Partner with executive and department leaders to identify the questions that need to be answered through data and develop appropriate analyses.
  • Develop meaningful measures of organizational and strategic performance.
  • Integrate information from member surveys, longitudinal research, chapter reporting, internal dashboards, and other sources to provide a more complete view of organizational performance.
  • Identify relationships among key indicators and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct trend analysis, benchmarking, forecasting, and scenario analysis to support organizational decision-making.
  • Evaluate major programs, initiatives, and investments by establishing measures of success and assessing outcomes.
  • Prepare executive- and board-level reports that communicate organizational performance, trends, opportunities, and risks.

Member Experience & Organizational Effectiveness
  • Develop a more integrated understanding of the member journey by connecting data across key stages of the member experience.
  • Identify gaps in current systems and data that limit Alpha Delta Pi's ability to understand member engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Partner with departments to identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce administrative burden, and strengthen organizational efficiency.
  • Evaluate how people, processes, technology, and data work together and recommend improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to better use the CRM and other organizational systems to support member engagement and organizational decision-making.


  • Support enterprise initiatives involving process improvement, organizational assessment, technology, and strategic priorities.

Data Governance & Organizational Capability
  • Establish practices that improve data quality, consistency, accessibility, security, and appropriate use.
  • Develop and maintain data definitions and documentation to create a shared understanding of organizational information.
  • Help staff and volunteers build confidence and capability in using organizational data.
  • Translate technical and analytical information into clear, useful insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Serve as an internal consultant to departments seeking to better understand performance, member behavior, or organizational opportunities.

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner closely with the Chief of Staff, Human Resources, and Information Technology to strengthen the interconnectedness of people, systems, processes, and organizational priorities.
  • Lead and support cross-functional projects requiring data analysis, organizational assessment, process improvement, or performance measurement.
  • Build trusted relationships across staff, volunteers, executive leadership, and Grand Council.
  • Stay informed on emerging practices in business intelligence, analytics, data management, member experience, and organizational effectiveness.

SUGGESTED BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible experience in business intelligence, data analytics, organizational effectiveness, strategy, consulting, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience with Power BI, Tableau, or comparable business intelligence and data visualization platforms.


  • Demonstrated ability to combine data from multiple sources and translate complex information into meaningful organizational insights.
  • Experience developing dashboards, data models, organizational metrics, or performance measurement systems.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and enterprise technology platforms.
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and reporting standards.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical findings and recommendations to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience working across organizational functions to influence decisions and improve organizational effectiveness.
  • Strong understanding of data privacy, security, and responsible data stewardship.
  • Knowledge of Alpha Delta Pi preferred. Experience in a membership-based, volunteer-driven, or higher education environment preferred.

EMPLOYMENT LOCATION

Alpha Delta Pi's Executive Office in Atlanta, GA preferred; remote work may be considered. Remote work is not eligible in the following states: CA, NY, NJ, HI, AK. Atlanta-based staff participate in a hybrid work schedule that may be granted after the first 90 days of employment. Alpha Delta Pi reserves the right to change work status with notice to employee.
