Location Overview

Cboe HQ is located in the historic Old Post Office district, it's a landmark that blends classic architecture with modern amenities. The building features expansive spaces with high ceilings and large windows, offering an abundance of natural light and panoramic views of the city skyline and the Chicago River.

With its prime location in the heart of downtown, the OPO Building provides easy access to major transportation hubs, including Union Station and multiple CTA lines, making it convenient for commuters. The building is home to a variety of amenities, including restaurants, a fitness center, and collaborative workspaces, creating a vibrant and dynamic work environment in one of Chicago's most iconic areas.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Investor Relations (IR) team as a Senior Director of Investor Relations. In this role, you will work closely with the SVP, Finance & Treasurer to shape and deliver clear, consistent investor messaging around Cboe's strategy, financial performance, and long-term value creation. You will drive engagement with the investment community, own the development of quarterly earnings materials, oversee investor events, and deliver executive-level market and competitive insights. As a key liaison with finance, legal, and communications teams, you will play a central role in executing Cboe's investor relations strategy and strengthening relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Cboe's strategy, operations, and objectives to drive the execution of a strategic investor relations plan
  • Lead the development of investor communications, including earnings announcements, Q&A materials, investor conferences, investor visits/analyst days, one-on-one meetings, shareholder reports, and a variety of presentations
  • Own the preparation and delivery of quarterly earnings release materials, including the earnings press release, conference call script, Q&A materials, slide presentation, and supplemental materials
  • Lead the development, maintenance, and modernization of investor relations content, FAQs, presentations, and internal knowledge resources.
  • Digest industry news and competitive research - owning the production of daily and weekly competitive intelligence reports outlining market, industry, and peer developments in a concise, executive-level summary for Cboe management
  • Collaborate with finance, legal, communications and other functional groups to ensure consistency of messaging internally and externally, as well as the appropriate sequencing of information
  • Coordinate an active investor relations calendar of investor conferences, office visits, non-deal roadshows, and other investor and analyst events
  • Oversee shareholder base analysis and investor targeting, including peer comparisons, identification of high-quality current and prospective shareholders, and development of targeted outreach strategies.
  • Partner with the SVP, Finance & Treasurer to implement AI tools and process improvements to enhance investor insight generation and IR efficiency.
  • Enhance sell-side connectivity through detailed reviews of analyst models, identification of key assumption gaps, and direct engagement with senior and junior analysts.
  • Serve as the point of contact with rating agencies and transfer agent
  • Maintain and update the Cboe investor relations internal and external website
  • Lead and execute ad-hoc projects
  • Assist in developing materials for Board of Directors meetings


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics or Math discipline; advanced degree or progress towards a CFA a plus
  • Ten-plus years of relevant experience; including investor relations, sell-side research, buy-side research, or finance
  • Must be intellectually curious!
  • Ability to digest large amounts of information and solve nuanced problems
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with investing, following companies / markets
  • Ability to work under tight timelines
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge and understanding of the capital markets, as well as an understanding of key metrics for companies in the industry
  • Experience with financial modeling techniques and valuation methods used by analysts and investors
  • Must always be able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion

Salary Ranges (applicable for US locations only)
At Cboe, we are committed to providing a competitive, transparent, and market-informed total rewards program. The anticipated base salary range for this role is $261,800-$338,800, with actual compensation determined by job-related factors such as skills, relevant experience, education, internal alignment, and location.

This role may also be eligible for annual incentive compensation and, where applicable, participation in Cboe's long-term equity programs.
