The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Senior Delivery Consultant to join the Cloud Platform and Migrations team. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage complex cloud infrastructure solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You'll be a key player in driving customer success through their cloud migration and modernization journey, providing advanced technical expertise and architectural best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, as a Delivery Consultant you will be proficient in architecting complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of each customer. You'll work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration and modernization strategies to AWS. As a trusted advisor to customers, you'll provide guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions. You will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project.
This is a customer facing role. You will be required to travel to client locations and deliver professional services when needed.
Key job responsibilities
As an experienced technology professional, you will be responsible for:
* Designing and implementing complex, scalable, and secure AWS solutions tailored to customer needs
* Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery
* Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective migration strategies
* Acting as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
* Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field or equivalent
- 3+ years of customer-facing work, engaging with customer executives, technologists or partners to solve business problems with advanced technologies experience
- 5+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with automation and any version control tools, or experience in Kubernetes, Docker or containers ecosystem and experience with programming/scripting (Batch, VB, PowerShell, Java, C#, Chef, Perl, Ruby and/or PHP)
- Experience with compliance & security standards including PCI DSS, ISO 27001, HIPAA, and NIST
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience with AI/ML technologies
- AWS experience preferred, with experience in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, Transit Gateway, Route 53, ECS, EKS)
- AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
