Description:

Senior Oracle Database Administrator to support large-scale, enterprise-level database environments. In this role, you will serve as a technical leader, driving the design and delivery of high-impact database solutions across complex IT engagements.

As a senior-level contributor, you'll work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing database architectures. You will play a key role in modernizing environments, optimizing performance, and ensuring solutions align with both technical and operational objectives. This position also offers the opportunity to contribute at an architectural level-integrating modern cloud and platform services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) with Oracle best practices to deliver innovative, full-stack solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Oracle database environments supporting high-availability and mission-critical systems
  • Lead database architecture, solution design, and full lifecycle implementation efforts across complex programs
  • Gather and interpret customer requirements to support database migration, optimization, and troubleshooting initiatives
  • Perform database performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization to ensure system efficiency and reliability
  • Deploy and manage Oracle technologies including RAC environments and RMAN backup/recovery solutions
  • Support database security, including implementation of controls such as Data Guard, DB Vault, and label security
  • Utilize tools such as Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control to monitor and manage database performance and health
  • Execute and support data migration and transformation efforts across environments
  • Provide technical guidance and subject matter expertise to stakeholders, helping drive informed technical decisions
  • Recommend and implement enhancements that improve scalability, reliability, and overall system performance


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or additional relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • 10+ years of experience administering and engineering solutions with Oracle databases (version 10 and above)
  • Strong background in database design, data modeling, and enterprise architecture concepts
  • Hands-on experience with RAC, RMAN backup and recovery, and performance tuning in production environments
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata, database security tools, Data Guard and/or DB Vault, and data migration strategies
  • Familiarity with enterprise database management tools, including Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control
  • Ability to work independently while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
