Job Description SummaryWhat You'll Do- Build, maintain, and improve predictive models that recommend optimal rental rates at the customer, market, and category level
- Apply statistical techniques - regression, survival analysis, elasticity modeling, Bayesian methods - to understand how rate changes affect revenue and utilization
- Analyze rate performance across markets and customer segments to identify where the business is leaving money on the table
- Design and run A/B and quasi-experimental tests to measure the revenue impact of pricing changes
- Partner with Pricing, Sales, and Finance to translate model outputs into actionable recommendations
- Develop robust feature pipelines and model monitoring to ensure pricing recommendations stay accurate over time
- Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What You'll Bring- 5+ years of experience in data science or quantitative analytics, with demonstrated impact on a revenue or pricing problem
- Strong foundation in statistics - you understand when to use a linear model vs. something more complex, and you can defend that choice
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with Spark / Databricks a strong plus
- Experience building and deploying ML models in a production environment
- Comfort working with messy, real-world transactional data
- Ability to work independently and drive a problem from ambiguous question to deployed solution
Nice to Have- Experience in equipment rental, logistics, or any asset-heavy industry
- Familiarity with pricing science, revenue management, or yield optimization
- Experience with MLflow or similar model tracking/versioning tools
Physical Demands:
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work. Base Pay Range: $130,315.00 - 179,183.40
