Job DescriptionWHAT WILL YOU DO?- Build data pipelines and reports that transform financial data reporting at RBC Insurance
- Build and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to process structured and unstructured data
- Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data processing
- Develop Python programs and perform advanced data analytics
- Contribute to the build-out of enterprise-scale Data & Analytics as a Service (DAaaS) initiatives
- Work on projects that enable LLM self-service capabilities for business users
- Ensure data integrity, quality, and governance throughout the transformation process
- Collaborate with Data Architects and Analysts to define data models and transformations
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?Must have:- 3+ years of experience in SQL and Python
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP)
- Experience transforming enterprise-level data at scale, including datasets with billions of records
- Proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing is a strong asset
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar workflow orchestration tools
- Experience with Data Warehouse design and Data Modelling
- Computer Science or Engineering degree, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Nice to Have:- Machine learning and statistical knowledge
- Software engineering project experience
- Hackathon or Kaggle Competition experience
- Experience with DBT, or similar ETL/ELT transformation frameworks
- Familiarity with Spark, Hadoop, or other big data technologies
