We are currently seeking a Sr. Data Engineer (Cybersecurity Analytics / FTE / Hybrid) to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina (US-NC), United States (US).

Day to Day Job Duties:
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize AWS Glue ETL pipelines for ingesting and transforming cybersecurity-related data from multiple sources.
  • Design and implement scalable Data Warehouse and Data Lake solutions using AWS S3, Snowflake, and cloud-native services.
  • Build and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployments using Terraform for cloud provisioning and environment automation.
  • Develop and optimize Snowflake data models, stored procedures, and queries to support analytics, reporting, and large-scale data processing.
  • Create and manage RESTful API integrations for secure data ingestion and communication between front-end applications and backend systems.
  • Work with Apache Kafka for real-time streaming, event-driven data ingestion, and ETL workflows.
  • Develop and debug SSIS packages for batch data processing and migration activities.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity, DevOps, QA, and application teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable data solutions.
  • Implement data governance, encryption, access control, and compliance best practices across cloud-based platforms.
  • Monitor production ETL jobs, troubleshoot failures, optimize performance, and support release deployments.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and security assessments to improve data engineering standards and operational efficiency.
  • Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in cloud-based Data Engineering and Big Data processing environments.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Glue for ETL development, orchestration, and monitoring.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with Terraform for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) automation and cloud deployments.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience designing and supporting Data Warehouses and Data Lakes using AWS S3, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake including data modelling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience working with Apache Kafka for streaming and ETL integrations.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in SQL, Python, and Spark for large-scale data transformation and analytics.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs using JSON, OAuth, API keys, and related authentication mechanisms.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience creating, maintaining, and debugging SSIS packages.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, encryption, IAM roles, RBAC, and data governance best practices.
  • Experience troubleshooting production data pipelines and supporting batch/real-time processing systems.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments with cross-functional teams.
