Job Description Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Quality Manager to lead plant-level quality execution and ensure the highest standards of product and process quality. This role is accountable for customer quality performance, Quality Management System (QMS) ownership, laboratory operations, and end-to-end problem resolution.
The Quality Manager will play a critical leadership role in driving customer satisfaction, compliance, and continuous improvement, while fostering a culture of Built-In Quality and Zero Defect mindset across the organization.

Job Description

What you'll do:

Customer Quality & Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary quality interface to customers, ensuring strong relationships and responsiveness.
  • Lead communication and resolution of customer non-conformities, complaints, and escapes.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality responses using structured problem-solving methodologies (8D, RCCA).
  • Drive customer satisfaction through proactive risk identification and mitigation.

Quality Management System (QMS) Ownership

  • Own and maintain the plant Quality Management System in compliance with internal and external standards.
  • Ensure robust documentation control, process standardization, and audit readiness.
  • Lead internal and external audits, ensuring closure of findings and continuous improvement.
  • Drive adoption of quality standards, procedures, and best practices across all functions.

Laboratory & Inspection Operations

  • Lead and manage lab operations, including testing, inspection, and validation activities.
  • Ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance of testing methods and results.
  • Optimize lab processes to support production and customer requirements efficiently.
  • Drive continuous improvement in measurement systems and inspection capabilities.

Problem Solving & Quality Assurance

  • Lead and facilitate structured root cause problem solving for internal and external quality issues.
  • Ensure effective implementation and validation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Prevent recurrence by driving systemic improvements across processes and controls.
  • Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to address process-related quality risks.

Plant-Wide Quality Improvement

  • Lead cross-functional quality improvement initiatives to enhance process capability, reduce defects, and improve First Pass Yield (FPY).
  • Deploy Built-In Quality principles and promote a preventive approach to quality.
  • Establish and track key quality KPIs (e.g., PPM, COPQ, scrap, rework, escapes).
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

What you'll bring:

  • High school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality.
  • 7–12+ years of experience in manufacturing quality or quality leadership roles.
  • Strong experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and audits.
  • Proven track record in customer quality management and issue resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of problem-solving tools (8D, RCA, FMEA, SPC)
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt).
  • Experience leading lab/testing or inspection operations.
  • Familiarity with Zero Defect, Built-In Quality, and Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Experience in industrial, energy, or heavy manufacturing environments.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $144,000.00 and $240,000.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

 

 

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
