Reports To- Direct report to Assistant Superintendent for Student Services
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Not All Inclusive)- Provide instructional leadership and coordination for the Directions program
- Develop and facilitate regular staff meetings to support school processes and staff growth
- Coordinate program curriculum development and assist in program evaluations
- Collaborate with D87 schools to identify student needs, explore program improvements and plan for future needs
- Collaborate with school leaders to monitor student success indicators and plan for continuous improvement
- Develop school schedule based on student needs (transcript evaluation and learning needs)
- Coach and evaluate all licensed and support staff
- Meet with new families and students in order to establish supportive and welcoming environment
- Maintain communications with prospective and current students/families that depict supports, classes and culture of the Directions Program
- Use data to evaluate the success and future needs of the Directions Program
- Plan, budget and monitor spending to support the student and program needs
- Maintain high-level of understanding of Title I Grant (rules, timelines, use, and purpose)
- Write and monitor all aspects of Title I Grant
- Collaborate with district and school leaders on development and use of Title I Grant
- Develop and implement a tracking system to monitor Title I grant use
- All other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skills- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as correspondence, surveys, and electronic media
- Ability to write reports and other professional communications
- Ability to present information effectively and to respond to questions from individuals and groups
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and community members
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in written form
- Ability to complete mathematical operations and apply concepts of basic mathematics
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to maintain current job skills as directed, especially in technology-related activities
