Job DescriptionJob Summary:Manage and oversee
field construction activities, inspections, quality, safety, and contract compliance for a VA medical center project in West Palm Beach.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct and document construction and quality inspections
- Ensure work follows plans, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements
- Review RFIs, submittals, drawings, and contractor documentation
- Monitor contractor performance, materials, payroll, and inventory
- Track deficiencies, daily reports, project correspondence, and RFIs
- Attend meetings and coordinate with VA facility management and contractors
- Review quality control reports and final inspections
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and construction regulations
- Support project closeout and review as-built drawings
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture OR 14 years of related experience
- Valid driver's license
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Fluent English
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint
Preferred:- VA or hospital construction experience
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Familiarity with AI/LLM tools
- Knowledge of hospital construction and engineering disciplines
Work Requirements:Must be comfortable working on active construction sites, including walking long distances, climbing ladders/scaffolding, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions. Occasional nights, weekends, or holidays may be required.
