The Amazon EC2 Solutions Architecture team was created to make sure customers can deploy the most scalable, and most performant Compute architectures possible. You'll play an important role as an advocate with our service teams to make sure we are building the right products.
The AWS Compute team was created to make sure customers can deploy the best, most scalable, and most performant architectures possible. You'll play an important role as an advocate with our service teams to make sure we are building the right products. The team is looking for an experienced Solutions Architect who will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for our supporting customers across the wide range of EC2 instances. As a Compute Solution Architect (SA), you will work with customers globally, partner closely with the engineering, business development, and technical field teams to drive the adoption of Amazon EC2 Compute resources. The EC2 Compute SA will develop white papers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to understand and leverage the value of EC2. The EC2 Compute SA will also help drive enablement initiatives to continually develop the best technical field teams in the industry.

Key job responsibilities
- Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap.
- Provide advanced technical knowledge to your domain aligned GTM teams to unblock our customers' largest and most critical business challenges.
- Act as a thought leader sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures and public-speaking events such as AWS Summit, AWS re: Invent, etc.
- Partner with Business Development teams to define the technical components of best in class GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives.
- Develop and support an AWS internal community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population, to help them understand how to integrate Amazon Web Services solutions into customer architectures.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of in design/implementation/operations/consulting with distributed applications experience
- Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders
- Proficiency with debugging and troubleshooting application's developed in Java, Ruby, Python, C/C++, Go, or Rust language(s) and frameworks.
- Experience deploying and running containers at scale including orchestration technologies like EKS, ECS and Karpenter
- Breadth of expertise deploying multi-az and multi-region applications on a public cloud provider.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud
- Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries
- AWS certification, such as, AWS Solutions Architect, or a similar cloud certification, or Associate's degree or above
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
