Responsibilities

The Sr Compensation Manager will manage, analyze and administer compensation programs that align with company objectives for recruiting, retention, and employee engagement.  Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of variable compensation programs.  Advises managers on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and budgetary guidelines.  Participates in compensation surveys and conducts analysis to ensure pay equity across the organization.

 

  • Manages in the development, implementation, administration, and communication of a variety of complex compensation programs and projects which significantly impact enterprise-wide business operations and objectives.
  • Partners with business unit leaders to design new compensation/ incentive plans and/or make improvements to existing variable compensation programs to reward and motivate employees and meet business objectives.
  • Functions as a subject matter consultant to HR, hiring managers, and other clients to identify and resolve various compensation-related issues/questions.
  • Designs all variable compensation programs including commission plans, incentive plans, and sales compensation programs and ensures plans are competitive in the marketplace and are legally compliant.
  • Conducts job evaluations and maintains the job architecture and job description repository.
  • Administers the compensation and salary structure in the HRIS system (ADP).
  • Participates in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends.
  • Reviews, validates, and ensures accuracy of compensation data in the compensation tool (CompXL) for annual merit and management bonus payouts.
  • Leads compensation policy and procedure training for managers.
  • Prepares monthly and ad-hoc reports and analyses as required.
  • May be responsible for other duties as assigned by manager.

 

 

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, accounting/finance, or a business-related field.
  • 5-7 years of progressively responsibility in base-pay compensation, job evaluation/market analysis both domestically and internationally.
  • 5-7 years’ experience in designing and administering variable compensation programs domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to read and interpret complex financial reports.
  • Proficient in MS Office with expert knowledge in Excel.
  • Experience with compensation structure set up in ADP a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with CompXL a plus, but not required.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to conduct training.  
  • Detail oriented while coordinating and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Preference may be given to individuals holding a professional HR certification such as CCP, PHR, SPHR.
