Job Description

We are seeking a Cloud Administrator and DevSecOps Engineer to join our team of hands-on engineering consultants, supporting customer development, test, and production environments. This role primarily provides DevSecOps and system administration expertise, leadership, guidance, and hands-on tasking and support for large system-of-systems software deployments and infrastructure in Microsoft Azure. You'll work across system administration, networking, CI/CD pipeline administration, security tooling, and Kubernetes cluster operations to keep customer environments running reliably and securely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform system administration and networking across Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Administer CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, including pipeline and security tooling.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and scanning across infrastructure.
  • Administer Kubernetes clusters, including AKS and on-prem K8s.
  • Build and maintain testing infrastructure, including machine and container images.
  • Perform upgrades and ongoing maintenance of system infrastructure and tooling.


Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience as a systems administrator in Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, and Linux.
  • Experience with Kubernetes (AKS, GKE, EKS, RKE2, K3D, OpenShift, etc.), with AKS preferred.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and Linux administration.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Chef; Terraform preferred).
  • Experience with Bash and Python scripting for automation.
  • Hands-on experience automating development and infrastructure tasking.
  • Hands-on experience implementing and integrating security tooling into the operational stack.
  • Must have one of the following:
    • Security+ CE
    • CySA+
    • GSEC
    • CCNA Security

Nice to Have Qualifications:
  • Experience building and deploying container images with Docker, Podman, or Helm.
  • Hands-on experience with service catalog self-service automation.
  • Experience using AI for automation.
  • Proof of completed training or coursework in one of the following: Linux+, Red Hat, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Proof of completed training in Microsoft Azure covering both AZ-104 and AZ-305.

Required Within First Month of Hire To retain employment, candidates must provide proof of completing:
  • Training or coursework in one of the following: Linux+, Red Hat, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
