What is the Global Client Group responsible for? Franklin Templeton's Global Client Group plays a central role in serving clients worldwide by bringing together client service, distribution, sales enablement, product engagement, and other client-facing capabilities. The group helps ensure clients experience Franklin Templeton as one coordinated firm, with consistent service, efficient support, and strong connectivity across regions, teams, and investment capabilities. As part of this broader organization, the Sr. Client Service Associate within US Institutional contributes directly to client satisfaction, operational excellence, and the firm's global client service model.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Sr. Client Service Associate?As a Sr. Client Service Associate, your focus will be on building outstanding external and internal relationships that best support our clients' unique investment needs and objectives. Working in an increasingly automated environment, you'll deliver proactive analytical and organizational support to our clients and to your team of Relationship Managers. You'll learn our business from the ground up by working closely with every department at the organization including Marketing, Product Management, Investment Management and Operations. You will play a key role in client relationships and departmental initiatives.
What you will do- Build strong partnerships with the assigned client channel (Subadvisory, Corporations, Public Funds, Taft-Hartleys, Insurance, Consultant or Endowments & Foundations) and prospects by providing ongoing support alongside the broader US based Client Service team
- Develop a deep understanding of the assigned clients' objectives and goals to deliver customized solutions, support sales opportunities, competitive analysis and product data and reporting
- Fielding complex ongoing and ad-hoc requests regarding portfolio, compliance, and fund information for internal and external clients on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.
- Collaborating with Client Service-Business Development Managers and our clients in coordinating and participating in Compliance Due Diligence meetings
- Stay current on Franklin Templeton and Investment Group products, investment processes and investment strategies, as well as wider market conditions, to offer clients the best possible solutions
- Represent your client and Relationship Manager's needs in firmwide initiatives and departmental efforts
- Be proactive in finding ways to increase your team's efficiency and effectiveness in retaining and growing business

You're always on the look-out for better ways to serve your clients and keep their best interest at the center of everything you do. What you will bring- A minimum of 3 years of client service or marketing experience in investment management or similar/adjacent industry, or four years' relevant work experience in another industry
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a collaborative, team environment
- Client-focused mindset with strong critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills; ability to prioritize with an appropriate sense of urgency
- Interest in investments, finance and marketing with a focus on client service. Solid understanding of equity and fixed income securities, operations, accounting rules and/or portfolio management a plus
- Strong data analytics skills; expert level with Microsoft product suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other business technology applications; experience with CRM, or industry tools such as Bloomberg, MMD, Morningstar or other databases is a plus
- 4-year undergraduate degree required
- CFA Designation a plus
This role works from our Pasadena, California office 4 days per week.
