Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 4-8 years of technical claims investigations/settling experience in Claims or similar organization.
• Ability to work independently and comprehend various technical subjects.
• Strong written, oral communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of managing multiple projects.
• Effective interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
• Preferred industry designations include IIA, AIC, AEI, and/or CPCU.
• Workers Compensation Adjuster License required as per jurisdictional standards.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and resolve advanced, large-loss, and complex workers compensation claims independently.
• Interpret policy coverages and apply independent judgment on complex claims.
• Manage all investigative activities on complex claims and guide litigation strategies with legal counsel.
• Analyze claims activity, preparing reports for clients, carriers, and management.
• Establish reserves and authorize payments within scope of authority, ensuring prompt settlement of claims.
• Develop subrogation and third-party recovery potential, following reclaim procedures.
• Conduct training and mentoring for new hires and support team development.
