Full Job Description
Overview

In this role, you will serve as the engineering lead for new product introductions, partnering with R&D, Chemistry Technical Support, Quality, Operations, Supply Chain, and EHS. Your role will include assessing manufacturing readiness, defining robust processes, and delivering safe, reliable production launches.

Responsibilities

  • Acquire in-depth knowledge of, and become a technical expert for, all processes throughout our manufacturing facility.

  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for the daily operation of the manufacturing plant, as well as during new equipment commissioning and startup, to ensure high product quality, safety, and minimal downtime.

  • Perform formal gap assessments comparing Milford's new product requirements with Taunton's current capabilities; define mitigation plans for identified gaps, including process changes, equipment or facility upgrades, new materials or suppliers, analytical methods, validation activities, training, and technical risk reduction.

  • Work closely with the NPI Manager and Material Scientist to align project priorities, technical strategy, material requirements, risk assessments, development studies, manufacturing trials, validation plans, and launch-readiness decisions.

  • Monitor product and process performance before, during, and after launch, investigate deviations and yield losses, coordinate corrective actions, and complete a structured handoff to Operations after predefined safety, quality, cost, capacity, and reliability targets are achieved.
