Role Summary
Responsible for strategic sourcing, category management, and contract oversight across T. Rowe Price's Infrastructure category. Manages a complex portfolio of infrastructure spend, including data center services, cloud infrastructure, network and telecommunications services, hardware, end-user computing, storage, compute, managed services, and related technology operations suppliers (approximately $150 million spend). Partners with business stakeholders to develop category strategies thatoptimizecost, mitigate risk, enhance supplier performance, and support enterprise technologyobjectives.
Responsibilities
- Develops and executes category strategies for Infrastructure-related spend, aligning sourcing initiatives with business priorities, technology roadmaps, and future-state operating models.
- Owns supplier spend management across infrastructure categories including cloud, data center, network, telecommunications, hardware, storage, compute, managed services, and workplace technology solutions.
- Leads complex sourcing events, supplier negotiations, contract renewals, benchmarking activities, and competitive bid processes to drive value and manage risk.
- Partners with Infrastructure, Architecture, Engineering, Security, Operations, Finance, Legal, and Risk stakeholders toidentifysourcing opportunities and support strategic technology initiatives.
- Conducts market analysis andmaintainsdeep knowledge of infrastructure technology trends, supplier landscapes, pricing models, licensing structures, and emerging industry practices.
- Negotiates and manages complex commercial agreements, including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work, cloud agreements, maintenance agreements, support contracts, and managed services engagements.
- Identifiesand delivers cost optimization, vendor consolidation, process improvement, and value creation opportunities across the infrastructure supplier portfolio.
- Ensures supplier compliance with internal governance, information security, regulatory, operational, and third-party risk management requirements.
- Provides categoryexpertise, guidance, and strategic recommendations to leadership and business partnersregardinginfrastructure investments and supplier strategies.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
- 8+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience managing Infrastructure sourcing categories, including cloud services, data center services, networking, telecommunications, servers, storage, managed services, and end-user computing.
- 8+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or category managementsupporting enterprise technology organizations.
- Experience within a large enterprise financial services, regulated industry, orhighly complextechnology environmentis strongly preferred.
- Proven success leading complex supplier negotiations and contract renewalswith major technology providers such as cloud, infrastructure, telecom, hardware, and managed service vendors.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure technology environments and commercial models, including cloud consumption, managed services, maintenance/support agreements, software licensing, and hardware procurement.
- Experience developing and executing category strategiesthat deliver measurable savings, cost optimization, supplier performance improvements, and risk mitigation outcomes.
- Ability to partner effectively with technical stakeholderssuch as Infrastructure Engineering, Network Services, Cloud Operations, Information Security, and Enterprise Architecture teams.

Base Salary Ranges

$122,000.00 - $209,000.00 for the location of: Maryland, Colorado, Washington and remote workers
$135,000.00 - $230,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C.
$153,000.00 - $261,000.00 for the location of: New York, California
Placement within the range provided above is based on the individuals relevant experience and skills for the role. Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
