Senior Manager, Category Management
As a
Senior Manager, Category Management you will be responsible for the holistic relationship between Capital One and key third parties, enabling a well-managed and adaptable supply chain. You will work closely with internal team members establishing and maintaining relationships with internal business customers and assigned suppliers. You will be expected to have knowledge of market trends and industry standards relating to the supplier portfolio for which you will be responsible. This role is essential in the delivery of key cost, risk, and performance management-related efforts for third-party relationships, in addition to identifying strategic opportunities for growth and/or greater return on investment.

Key responsibilities include:
- People Management: Leads, develops and inspires high-performing supplier teams through clear communication, coaching and accountability.
- Strategy: Provide strategic and innovative solutions to support internal customers. Identify value-generating opportunities (e.g. savings, efficiencies, or revenue growth).
- Negotiation: Develop deal strategies and socialize with key stakeholders to parter and align on needs to negotiate for a broad range of products and services for Capital One.
- Stakeholder and Relationship Management: Develop strong internal relationships with key stakeholders, be able to influence without authority and serve as a primary point of contact for third parties and manage an effective governance between Capital One and assigned third parties, which includes an ability to understand and act upon service levels.
- Collaboration: Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally across multiple business units and stakeholders to ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant Capital One policies and procedures.
- Risk Management: Monitor and ensure the health of successful delivery against third party contractual obligations.
- Process Management: Accountable for policy requirements for all managed third-party relationships. Plan and lead periodic reviews and assessments of supplier relationships.
- Supplier Sourcing: Responsible for identifying, evaluating, and engaging suppliers to acquire goods or services, including conducting market research, negotiations, supplier management, cost analyses, and aligning procurement strategies with organizational goals.
Note: Limited travel may be required.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED or Equivalent Certification
- At least 5 years of experience in Supplier Management, Relationship Management or Procurement, Process Management, Project Management, or Risk Management, or a combination
- At least 3 years of People Leadership experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or military experience
- At least 6 years of experience in Supplier Management and Procurement
- At least 3 years of People Leadership experience
- At least 3 years of experience in Risk & Operations Management

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
Richmond, VA: $161,500 - $184,300 for Sr. Manager, Supply Chain
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
