Summary Senior Cardiovascular Imaging Tech Position Summary The Senior Cardiovascular Imaging Tech provides expert-level support for advanced cardiovascular imaging and invasive procedures while serving as a clinical resource and mentor to staff. This role performs complex diagnostic and interventional procedures with minimal supervision, supports departmental operations, and promotes quality patient care, procedural excellence, and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities - Perform advanced cardiovascular imaging and invasive procedures following established protocols and standards of care.
- Function in scrub, monitor, and circulating roles.
- Support diagnostic and interventional coronary, peripheral vascular, electrophysiology, and structural heart procedures.
- Assist physicians with vascular access, catheter and wire manipulation, device preparation, and procedural troubleshooting.
- Operate fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring equipment, IVUS, ICE, FFR, OCT, and other cardiovascular imaging technologies.
- Assess patient status and provide exceptional patient-centered care throughout procedures.
- Orient, train, and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Participate in quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and departmental initiatives.
Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program required; Associate degree preferred.
Experience: Three to five (3-5) years of cardiovascular imaging or invasive procedure experience required.
Required Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS)
- RCIS, RCES, RDCS, RCS, or RT credential
