Position SummaryThe Sr. Buyer will drive supplier strategy, negotiate contracts, and purchase goods and services for the company, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with established policies and procedures. This role also provides leadership in supplier development, risk management, and continuous improvement across the supply chain.
What you will be doing- Develop, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships, including negotiating pricing, contracts, and resolving quality or delivery issues to achieve material cost and inventory goals.
- Analyze supplier cost and pricing data, benchmark competition, and drive continuous improvement in supplier performance and quality.
- Develop Negotiation strategies within commodities for pricing, terms and conditions, and long term contractual agreements.
- Manage projects from order to closeout, leading cross-functional teams, defining project scope, and ensuring timely completion through effective scheduling, risk, and commercial management.
- Oversee procurement activities by reviewing MRP, maintaining part and PO data integrity, and ensuring timely delivery of components to meet production requirements.
- Communicate and collaborate with internal departments and executive management, providing project updates, supporting order management, and facilitating issue resolution across the organization.
Basic Requirements:- Associate's degree in Business, or related field + 4 years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management
- Bachelor's degree in Business, or related field + 2 years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management
- Master's degree in Business, or related field
- JD/PhD in Business, or related field
- In lieu of degree, 6+ years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management

Preferred Requirements:- Strong negotiation skills and advanced knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.
- Proficient in financial/cost analysis and complex problem-solving.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, engineering documents, and production planning requirements.
- Experience with supply chain, materials management, and SAP systems.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
