Summary

The role is responsible for procurement of raw materials and components needed for repackaging of prescription pharmaceuticals through strong tactical execution and strategic supplier relationship management. This individual will own critical processes such as At-Risk Inventory Processes, Contingency Stock Process, and be responsible for collaborating with cross functional stakeholders to develop action plans. Responsible for reporting of performance key indicators, risks, and required actions to meet customer requirements. This individual will collaborate regularly with Corporate Business Development, Sales Ops, and peers in Operations to mitigate supply constraints and contribute towards the growth of the company.

General Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for review of MRP and management of Purchase Orders that includes placement, follow up, expedites, push out, etc as required.
  • Maintains and monitors key performance metrics in the areas of on time delivery, fill rate, quality, and service and collaborate with suppliers to develop action plans to improve.

  • Responsible for leading monthly meetings with assigned supplier partner(s) and lead discussion on forecasts, industry news, mitigation of any supply constraints, review of metrics and action plans.
  • Support and lead (as necessary) all significant issue resolution with suppliers, with other relevant functions (Supplier Quality, Business Development, Sales Ops and Supply Chain)
  • Communicate proactively and effectively any inventory supply constraints so as to minimize impact on service level and inventory targets.
  • Support new product launches and ensure that direct materials purchasing is executed to meet target dates
  • Responsible for management of At-Risk Inventory processes including review of data, metrics, trends, and action plan to minimize scraps. Hold meeting with cross functional stakeholders to review trends and develop action plan where needed. Responsible for driving continuous improvement into this process in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Interacting with finance and receiving, and incoming quality inspection to settle invoice and delivery discrepancies along with any missing paperwork required for receipt.
  • Ability to contribute as a team member and provides team leadership on projects as applicable. Leverage Engineering Change Control (ECR) to implement cGMP changes.
  • Develops and execute a sourcing strategy that will drive measurable improvements in the areas of compliance and cost benefits.
  • Recommends strategies, process improvements, and other value-added initiatives.
  • Works independently as well as in a team environment and makes decisions based on analysis of supplier proposals and in partnership management.

Requirements:
  • CPSM certification is a significant plus.
  • Understanding of generic pharmaceutical market and manufacturers is helpful.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive and accurate reports and leverage data to drive key performance indicators.
  • Strong ERP skillset. Familiarity with Syspro (ERP system) is a plus.
  • Solid Microsoft Office competency, particularly with spreadsheet and database management.
  • Strong analytical skills, understanding of ROP methodology for planning is a plus
  • Able to work in fast-paced, multi-task environment with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

    The hiring range for this position in Camarillo, CA is $90,000 to $110,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills and experience among other factors. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of other health and welfare benefits.
