Sr Business Systems Analyst I for a remote opportunity for candidates working EST hours. Candidate will support enterprise technology initiatives by connecting business objectives with technical solutions within an Agile environment. The role will focus on requirements analysis, cloud-based applications, Medicare-related systems, testing, and collaboration across business and technical teams.
Required Qualifications of the Sr Business Systems Analyst I:- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies.
- 6+ years of professional IT business analysis experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience working as an Agile Business Analyst or Product Owner.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Medicare or healthcare-related systems and business processes.
- Experience with cloud-hosted applications and technology solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with TestRail, ALM, or comparable testing and quality-management tools.
- Strong requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
- Ability to review requirements, test plans, test matrices, project documentation, and solution designs while effectively communicating with technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Skills/Experience of the Sr Business Systems Analyst I:- Experience with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD workflows, version control, automated testing, and cloud-based analytics deployments.
- Experience with SQL, DB2, or other data-analysis/query technologies.
- Familiarity with Visio, MS Project, or comparable process and project-management tools.
- CBAP, HIPAA, LOMA, or related professional certifications.
Responsibilities of the Sr Business Systems Analyst I:- Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to identify needs, define objectives, and translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
- Facilitate requirements sessions and create user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and other business analysis deliverables.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, and retrospectives.
- Partner with developers, testers, product owners, and project leadership to investigate issues, clarify requirements, and support successful solution delivery.
- Assist with test planning and validation activities by reviewing test cases, test matrices, defects, and problem logs to help ensure solutions meet business expectations.
- Provide guidance, knowledge transfer, and mentoring to less-experienced analysts while contributing to continuous process and system improvements.
