Compensation Range:
$86,900.00 - $130,300.00
The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.
Responsibilities:
Provides expert advisement and support to management and business functional areas in developing and maturing the business continuity management program through pre-planning, planning, and continuous improvement in response to business interruptions. Collaborates with departmental leadership and other stakeholders to identify critical business functions and develop strategies. Performs business impact analysis (BIA), application impact analysis (AIA), and facility-based risk analysis according to established practices. Conducts data analysis, including gap analysis and process improvement analysis related to the program. Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, manuals, and other documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Creates data and analytics solutions for business continuity and documents and translates data gathered through workshops and other methods into consumable information for the business continuity program and executive leadership. Creates meaningful reports for use across all levels of the enterprise.
Independently provides direct consultative support to business functional areas based on UR standards and industry best practices for business continuity management. Performs business impact analysis (BIA), application impact analysis (AIA), and facility-based risk analysis according to established business continuity risk management practices. - Performs business intelligence actions, including gathering gap analysis and process improvement information related to the program. Provides consultation and analysis, makes remediation recommendations, and provides other project support outside formal workshops according to organization and department needs.
- Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, and other documentation. Maintains related documentation for business continuity application tools, including application manual, end user manual, and University IT Knowledge Base.
- Evaluates and determines criticality and risk business areas through business impact analysis (BIA), application impact analysis (AIA), and facility-based risk analysis according to established business continuity risk management practices.
- Facilitates in-person workshops with departmental leadership and other stakeholders to process map critical business functions, normal business processes, workflows, recovery, downtime, processes and strategies.
- Develops and provides business continuity education and awareness content to ensure labor pool resiliency.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare or related discipline and 7 years of business continuity experience required
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong working knowledge of HIPAA, Joint Commission and other regulatory and accrediting business continuity controls relevant to UR and URMC and affiliates required
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Business continuity certification (BRCI, DRI, ISO or equivalent) upon hire required
- Certifications in FEMA ICS 100, ICS 200, IS 700 and IS 800 upon hire required
