The RoleSupport engineering planning and record functions primarily through AutoCAD 2D & 3D drafting software.
Responsible for creating and maintaining record drawings supporting planning or engineering groups. Primary drawing types include Floor plans, Site plans and AC 1-line drawings. Maintain Drawings Library SharePoint site.
Location and ScheduleThis is a full time remote/work from home position in the USA. Typical schedule is Monday - Friday 8am-5pm. May require flexibility in schedule; nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the needs of the business.
The Main Responsibilities- Work with engineers to create initial designs for new projects.
- Floor plans may include additions or removals of equipment, or new construction.
- Site plan work may include researching and locating property lines using latitude and longitude GIS info and surveying angles and measurements, working with Bing Map imagery, and adding buildings, roads and driveways.
- AC 1-Line work includes working with electrical symbology.
- Research missing information.
- Work with engineers or vendors to add as-built information to record drawings.
- Accurately locate objects using offsets or construction lines.
- Create and modify 2D & 3D blocks and dynamic blocks.
- Create PDFs on design or update completion.
- Work with SharePoint site to manage drawing workflow.
- Maintain record of work in internal systems.
- SME for AutoCAD, to assist planners & engineers with AutoCAD related issues.
- Work with internal AutoCAD programming or tools to find efficiencies.Work with engineers to create initial designs for new projects.
What We Look For in a Candidate- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant experience.
3 years of related experience and/or education in AutoCAD software (v2020 or newer).
AutoCAD Proficiency (detail oriented, balanced with efficient turnaround).
Preferred experience with any of the following:
- Telecommunication or Data Center design.
- Architectural design.
- Electrical or AC 1-line design.
- Understanding of Mechanical and/or Electrical building systems.
- GIS/Mapping or Civil design.
- AutoCAD Map 3D software.
- .Net or AutoLISP programming for AutoCAD.
CompensationThis information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

$84,629 - $112,838 in these states: AL AR AZ FL GA IA ID IN KS KY LA ME MO MS MT ND NE NM OH OK PA SC SD TN UT VT WI WV WY
$88,860 - $118,480 in these states: CO HI MI MN NC NH NV OR RI
$93,092 - $124,122 in these states: AK CA CT DC DE IL MA MD NJ NY TX VA WA
