Full Job Description
Qorvo is seeking a Senior EDA Application Engineer to define, deploy, and support silicon design methodologies across RF, analog, mixed-signal (AMS), and digital IC development. The role serves as the technical interface between product design teams, technology development, internal EDA organizations, and EDA vendors to enable efficient, scalable, and high-quality silicon product development.

The successful candidate will provide hands-on applications support for designers, develop and qualify EDA design flows, and drive methodology improvements spanning custom analog/RF design, AMS verification, digital implementation and verification, modeling, simulation, and silicon correlation.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day applications support for RFIC, analog, mixed-signal, and digital silicon design teams using industry-standard EDA tools.
  • Develop, maintain, and deploy silicon design methodologies covering RF, analog, AMS, and digital design flows.
  • Support designers with circuit simulation, mixed-signal verification, digital verification, modeling, debug, and results interpretation.
  • Evaluate, benchmark, qualify, and deploy EDA tools for custom design, AMS simulation, digital verification, and RF simulation.
  • Collaborate with technology, design, CAD, and product engineering teams to improve first-pass silicon success and design productivity.
  • Partner with EDA vendors to resolve technical issues, influence product roadmaps, and deploy new capabilities.
  • Develop reference flows, PDK enablement, reusable automation, and best practices for silicon design.
  • Deliver training, documentation, and mentoring to increase designer proficiency across RF, analog, mixed-signal, and digital methodologies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience or an equivalent amount of advanced education and experience supporting or designing RFIC, analog, mixed-signal, or digital IC products.
  • Hands-on experience with CMOS, SOI, SiGe, or related silicon technologies.
  • Experience with custom analog/RF design, AMS verification, and/or digital design and verification flows.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Xcelium, Synopsys HSPICE/PrimeSim, VCS, Keysight ADS, AWR, or equivalent.
  • Strong communication, troubleshooting, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Experience:
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience defining enterprise EDA design flows and methodology deployment.
  • Knowledge of EM, package, thermal, and multi-physics simulation.
  • Experience collaborating with EDA vendors on tool qualification and roadmap development.

Location:

We are open to this position being based in either our Apopka FL or Richardson TX office.
