What Will You Be Doing?The Sr. Long Term Planning Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and communicating long-term network plans based on demand forecasts, business objectives, fleet strategy, and macroeconomic assumptions. The role translates complex planning inputs into clear insights and recommendations for leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, ensuring long-range decisions are aligned with the company's strategic and financial goals.
Essential Functions- Maintain a consistent long-range planning framework that can be efficiently refreshed as inputs, assumptions, and business priorities evolve
- Develop and evaluate strategic "what-if" scenarios to assess the impact of changes in demand, fuel prices, capacity, fleet availability, and other industry or macroeconomic shocks.
- Track key network-level performance metrics and ensure future plans remain within approved strategic and financial guardrails.
- Communicate long-term network plans clearly and effectively, partnering cross-functionally with Finance, Revenue Management, Airport Planning, Scheduling, Crew Planning, and other teams to support informed long-term decision-making across the business.
- Develop executive-level presentations and deliver insights to senior leadership at a regular cadence.
- Own ad hoc analyses and special projects, including reporting, forecasting, and scenario modeling to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Maintain a top-down view of the network, allocating capacity based on returns, demand volatility, and diversification with a continual focus on driving the lowest possible costs across the business
Other Functions- Competently and professionally represent the airline at external industry events.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, computer studies or related aviation field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree
- 3-5 years' analytical experience with at least 2 of which are working in network planning, finance, revenue management or equivalent type role within the industry required.
- Experience with airline data intelligence tools like Cirium Diio or Airline Data Inc., or airline scheduling and forecasting products like Sabre Schedule Manager is a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Understanding of airline economics, competitive environment, capacity planning processes, airline fleets, macroeconomic trends, etc.
- Excellent analytical skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required; SQL and/or Python proficiency a plus
- Ability to express and defend ideas in a highly competitive environment
- Ability to work well with and speak to all levels of leadership regarding route planning issues
- Understanding of the ULCC airline business model
- Possess a drive for continuous improvement and a willingness to constantly innovate
- Strong time management capabilities
- Limited travel required for industry meetings/conferences, vendor meetings, and market familiarization trips

Salary Range: Please note: $72,000 - $96,331 this posting has a closing date of on or before midnight 9.30.26 MT.
