Full Job Description
This position is responsible for supporting Lilly's global tax compliance and all BEPS tax laws efforts, with a focus on ongoing Pillar 2 compliance, forecasting, and reporting across jurisdictions where Lilly has filing obligations. It will support overall evaluations of the financial impact of the laws on Lilly as well as any potential mitigation strategies. Additionally, this role will support OECD Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR) and public CbCR filing requirements under the EU and Australian frameworks, maintain dashboards for total tax contribution reporting, and monitor Pillar Two side-by-side guidance adoption status across jurisdictions.
This position collaborates across the global tax, Corporate Financial Reporting and overseas finance teams to gather, analyze and report tax information. It requires strong business collaboration skills and tax technical knowledge.
Responsibilities
Support all OECD/BEPS tax laws efforts:
• Monitor OECD guidance and their impacts to Lilly from a cash and effective tax rate standpoint
• Monitor Pillar Two side-by-side guidance adoption status across jurisdictions and revamp compliance workpapers as needed to reflect evolving regulatory requirements
• Support ongoing compliance and forecasting for Pillar 2/GloBE obligations globally
• Support the compliance obligations of existing BEPS laws globally
• Partner with tax reporting and forecasting group to support the impact of BEPS for business plan and strategic plan
• Support external auditor review of Pillar 2 (and Pillar 1 if enacted)
• Support substantive/process analysis and recommendations regarding new tax disclosure requirements, including public country by country reporting as well as guidelines related to ESG principles
• Support strategic planning regarding legal entity structure and intercompany transactions to simplify compliance and tax burden
• Support preparation of documentation of key positions
Prepare and manage OECD CbCR and public CbCR filings:
• Coordinate preparation and submission of OECD private CbCR (Table 1, Table 2, and Table 3)
• Support EU public CbCR filings across applicable member states, including managing jurisdiction-specific deadlines
• Support Australian public CbCR filings and related compliance requirements
• Support preparation of documentation of key positions
• Maintain and enhance the Total Tax Contribution dashboard and reporting, including data collection from local affiliates and peer benchmarking
Support Global Tax Affiliate Liaisons:
• Support special projects in the global tax organization as requested
• Lead foreign tax audit and controversy tracking and analytics processes
• Support global tax compliance requests by affiliates
• Support responses in foreign tax audits and Advance Pricing Agreements
• Support development and roll-out of provision work paper for large sales affiliates
Support tax process improvement and digital transformation:
• Collaborate with Tax Digital Transformation on process improvement initiatives and participate in training and pilots to build working familiarity with tax automation and AI-enabled workflows
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related degree
• Minimum 3 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm and/or a corporate tax environment
• CPA or working towards CPA license

Additional Skills/Preferences
• SAP and OneSource tax software experience
• Strong Excel expertise or aptitude
• Interest in or exposure to tax technology and AI-enabled tools (e.g., Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Power App, Claude) to automate data preparation, analysis, and reporting
• Proven tax research skills
• Demonstrated oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and self-management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate's education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$66,000 - $151,800
Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
