Job Summary:
Raytheon’s Mission Capability and Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range, NM is searching for a qualified HVAC Field Engineer to support Tactical HVAC operations domestically and internationally. The candidate will be involved in the installation, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshoot and modification of radar Environmental Controls, HVAC systems and subsystems for our radar systems.
What You Will Do
Perform installation, operation, maintenance, repair, troubleshoot and modification of radar Environmental Controls, HVAC systems and subsystems.
Implement preventive maintenance program to maintain efficient performance of systems and maintain records of all correction actions to systems
Travel up to 75% of the time to domestic and international remote locations
Work long hours and/or weekends as needed
Work in remote and hazardous locations
Will be exposed to energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordnance
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree and a minimum of 2 (two) + years of relevant HVAC experience, including completion of an HVAC technician certification
EPA 608 Certified or obtain within 30 days of hire
Experience with blueprints and electrical schematics
Experience with the installation, maintenance and repair of industrial refrigeration, air conditioning mechanical components to include but not limited to
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with operation of basic hand tools
Experience with Mil-Spec work on Tactical Equipment
Electrical wiring knowledge
Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and proper storage of chemicals
Ability to carry and lift 28 pounds, access confined spaces, and climb tall ladders

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidates work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
