The Senior HRIS Analyst will serve as a hands-on functional expert in Workday's Time Tracking, Absence, Leave, and Scheduling modules. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, and IT to configure and optimize the system, ensure compliance with labor/timekeeping laws, and support scalable global operations.
This is an on-site position in Houston, TX. Remote and hybrid work arrangements are not available. Relocation assistance may be provided for qualified candidates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Configure, support, and optimize Workday Time Tracking, Absence, Leave, and Scheduling modules
- Collaborate with HR, Payroll, and IT on system enhancements, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure successful testing, deployment, and provide post-go-live support.
- Troubleshoot issues and document resolutions for internal knowledge sharing
- Build and maintain reports within Time Tracking, Absence, Leave, and Scheduling
- Participate in broader HR Systems and Shared Services initiatives as needed
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of Workday HCM experience, with deep expertise in Time Tracking, Absence, Leave, and Scheduling (additional Workday modules a plus)
- 7+ years of Workday consulting or SME experience on medium-to-large-scale HRIS implementations
- Workday certification in Time Tracking, Absence, Leave, and/or Scheduling
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Strong report writing ability within relevant Workday modules
- Experience supporting Canadian and international time tracking operations, including local labor law and absence policy compliance
- Strong understanding of HR systems and processes
- Ability to lead design sessions, manage project plans, and deliver results while handling multiple engagements simultaneously
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills for complex technical and process challenges
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience transitioning from ADP eTime to Workday Time Tracking (data mapping, testing, go-live readiness)
- Experience with Dormakaba Time Clocks integrated with Workday Time Tracking
- Prior Workday implementation experience
- Familiarity with Workday Releases testing cycle
