The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from:

Job Summary

The Sr Analyst - Growth Planning and Pipeline Management will report to the Senior Manager of New Growth Planning and Pipeline Management, this role will be the owner of the databases and tools management necessary to develop the Strategy of the Organic Growth team, leading different projects or phases of projects that will be key for Organic Growth Planning activities such as Pipeline Management, Gating Process control, Goals-KPIs tracking, Pipeline Reporting, etc.

This role will be accountable for the ongoing activities necessary for a reliable and recurrent update of the information needed to accurately track and report the status and evolution of the Onshore Renewables Pipeline of Projects, as well as manage the data and maintain the tools necessary for this purpose.

As a Sr Analyst position, the candidate must work independently, with a limited degree of supervision, but always within the defined guidelines and authorized processes, and identifying and proposing improvements to processes and methods, identifying issues resulting from conflicting data, acting and informing in advance of potential risks in the development of projects.

This Role will lead different initiatives and will also be the primary point of contact with the different areas within Onshore Organic Growth: Interconnection, Permitting, Development, Land Management, etc., providing guidance and training colleagues in the use of the tools, and working together with the different teams in the updating of the information required for tracking the projects status, goals, and KPIs.

Overall, the Sr Analyst -Growth Planning and Pipeline Management role will be key in the reporting, analysis, and preparation of information under a broad business-wise perspective, which will be valuable for the definition of the strategy and planning of the Onshore Organic Growth Pipeline of Projects, contributing towards the achievement of the yearly goals, bringing profitable projects to FID, anticipating and minimizing risks, and preventing negative impacts to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Following the prescribed guidelines and official processes, and proposing improvements to processes and methods, the Pipeline Management related duties for the role are, amongst others:
  • Pipeline Balancing. Accountable for accurate and regular updating of the information, databases, and reports required for the project prioritization and balancing (FID target dates, technologies, markets, regions, etc), following Avangrid's direction and prescribed processes and guidelines. As a Sr Analyst role, will contribute with different and complex information analysis, as required, to facilitate decision-making to Management.
  • Pipeline Reporting. Responsible for the elaboration and release of recurrent reports such as the Quarterly Pipeline Report, the monthly Global Pipeline Report, and any other recurrent reports as required by the Sr. Manager; identifying gaps, and conflicting information, and timely informing management of the findings.
  • Project Budgets. Owner of the tools required for tracking the actuals and forecast spending of projects under development, facilitator to other teammates for the correct and efficient use of the tools.
  • Projects Schedules. Owner of the tools used by the team for tracking operative milestones and economic commitments, identifying gaps in the KPIs and Goals, anticipating risks, and proposing solutions.
  • Development Projects Dashboard. Assist the Sr Manager in analyzing the gaps between the project schedules and the Development Dashboard (top priority projects), reporting any identifiable differences and risks, and proposing the reprioritization of projects, if necessary, in order to meet the yearly goals and KPIs.
  • Regional Quarterly Meetings. Collaborate with the team in the coordination of the Reginal Meetings, the elaboration and update of the tables and figures required for the Regional Meetings.
  • Process documentation. Responsible for the documentation of changes and updates in current processes and methods, and for the documenting the new processes created by the New Growth Planning and Pipeline Management team.


  • Gating Process
  • Development Initiatives. Responsible for the coordination and revision of materials for the Development Initiatives meetings where the approval of project ideas (PR0) and promotions (PR0 to PR1, PR1 to PR2.) will be discussed with the team and the decisions regarding approval or rejection of such projects will be made.
  • Projects promotions. Owner of the Projects Promotion process: PR0 - PR1 - PR2 - PR3 segments. Point of contact to assist the Organic Growth team with the use of the tools necessary to track and report the status of the projects for the gating process (Antares, MDQS, Descriptives, etc).
  • Tracking of monetary commitments. Accountable for the proper running and operation of tools to monitor the actual and the future estimated spending, first line of communication with the teams responsible for providing the budget-related data.
  • Operative Milestones. Owner of the databases and tools necessary to monitor relevant project milestones such as Site Control, Engineering Design, Interconnection, and Permitting; accountable for maintaining the links and tools for tracking such operative milestones.
  • Project Descriptives. Assisting the Organic Growth team with regular asks regarding the Descriptive decks: location of template files, moving folders to the corresponding segment (PR1, PR2, PR3), how to properly fill up the information and from where, etc.
  • Growth Strategy
  • Goals tracking. Responsible for tracking the achievements towards the yearly goals completion, anticipating challenges and proposing solutions from a broad business perspective.
  • KPIs reporting. Owner of the tools used by the team for the reliable and agile reporting of the Organic Growth KPIs.
  • Digitalization
  • Tools development. Lead the efforts for optimization and automation opportunities of the tools used by the team, proposing less obvious solutions, and documenting the methods and processes involved.
  • Crossfunctional collaboration. Collaborate with different teams within the Onshore Renewables organization to benchmark the types of tools, reports, and information that might be valuable for tracking the evolution of the projects under development and balancing the Pipeline.


Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Business or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience working in the renewables / Electric market industries (Origination, Development, RES Financial modeling, M&A, etc.)
  • Depth understanding of data management and analysis.
  • Customer service focus and professional.
  • Pro-active, detail oriented, results-driven, with organized work techniques.
  • Strong Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, VBA, and SAP skills.
  • Spanish recommended.
  • International assignment experience recommended.
