Your Job

Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Fixed Assets to join our team in Wichita, KS. This role will enable accurate, timely, and insightful fixed asset accounting and reporting that supports business decisions, compliance, and value creation. Partner across the organization to solve problems, leverage technology and AI, continuously improve processes, and deliver insights that help the business succeed.

What You Will Do
  • Own the integrity of fixed asset accounting, reporting, and financial controls in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company economic principles, including monthly close activities, reconciliations, and compliance with quarterly and annual reporting requirements
  • Provide accurate fixed asset reporting, analytics, depreciation forecasts, and recommendations that support business planning, decision-making, and value creation
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of turnaround spend, ensuring accurate tracking, capitalization, reporting, analysis, and continuous process improvement
  • Build trusted partnerships across accounting, tax, operations, compliance, and other capabilities to solve problems, influence decisions, and identify opportunities to create value
  • Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives by applying analytical thinking, economic decision-making, and sound business judgment to deliver results
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve, automate, and scale fixed asset processes through AI, technology, and data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, strengthen controls, and improve business outcomes
  • Expand your ownership by developing new capabilities, sharing knowledge, and helping build individual and team capability while creating sustainable value across fixed asset processes


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • 3+ years of accounting or tax experience
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship


What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Previous tax, audit, or fixed assets experience
  • Previous experience with fixed assets accounting software
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Alteryx, or Power BI
  • Experience using pivot tables in MS Excel and/or experience querying data and building macros in MS Access
