Sr. Analyst Crew Pairing Overview:

The Senior Analyst, Crew Pairing supports Sun Country Airlines' planning and operational performance by analyzing network plans, operating constraints, resource utilization, and financial outcomes. The role also evaluates the Amazon network and recommends changes that improve operational reliability and efficiency. This role develops data-driven insights, scenarios, forecasts, dashboards, and recommendations that support effective operational decision-making.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze flight schedules, network plans, operational processes, and resource utilization to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Build and maintain models, forecasts, dashboards, KPI reports, and decision-support tools.
  • Develop and evaluate crew pairing scenarios that balance operational reliability, resource utilization, and crew quality of life.
  • Assess financial and operational impacts associated with schedule, fleet, staffing, and process changes.
  • Partner with Network Planning, Operations, Crew Planning, Flight Operations, Inflight, Ground Operations, Revenue Management, Finance, and Technology stakeholders.
  • Support implementation of approved recommendations, measure outcomes, and communicate results to stakeholders.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Data Science, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • 2-5 years of relevant analytical, airline, operations, finance, planning, or optimization experience.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, data validation, and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and meet applicable employment requirements.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, or equivalent aviation training.
  • Experience with S3RUS.
  • Experience with AIMS crew management, pairing, rostering, tracking, or optimization tools.
  • Previous airline experience in Network Planning, Schedule Planning, Operations Performance, Crew Planning, Revenue Management, Finance, Flight Operations, or related functions.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable analytical and visualization tools.
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, simulation, optimization, operations research, project management, or change management.
  • Knowledge of airline economics, aircraft routing, fleet utilization, crew legality, operational constraints, and airline performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with applicable FAA regulations and Safety Management System principles.


Compensation:

Pay: $80-95,000. This is the base compensation hiring for this role.
