Job Title: Sr. Analyst - Business Intelligence

Summary
The Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence is responsible for contributing to the development of analytical models, providing strategic reporting, and supporting performance and business decision-making by recommending system and/or process improvement solutions. This role focuses on the development, calculation, and validation of performance incentives, bonus simulations, and standard sales compensation structures, ensuring financial accuracy and alignment. Collaborating closely with cross-functional partners in Finance, HR, and Field Operations, the Senior Analyst identifies opportunities to automate data processes, streamline workflows, and eliminate manual tasks to save time for both the analyst team and business partners. Through these efforts, they translate operational data into actionable insights to optimize resources, control costs, and support overall team agility and business continuity. Job Responsibilities
  • Incentive & Compensation Modeling: Execute, model, and validate incentives, bonus programs, or campaign structures; conduct simulation analyses to support financial forecasting and evaluate program ROI.
  • Inquiry & Program Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for contest or incentive inquiries, resolving field questions with a professional, diplomatic, and helpful approach.
  • Analytics & KPI Dashboarding: Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance interactive dashboards and analytical tools in Microsoft Power BI and Excel to track critical business performance metrics.
  • Reporting: Create reports and presentations based on business needs (such as Shade Trade performance).
  • Process Automation & Efficiency: Identify and implement automated solutions to streamline reporting workflows, reduce manual efforts, accelerate delivery times, and improve productivity for the team and end-users.
  • Data Governance: Maintain store rosters, operational personnel databases, and data attributes.
  • Cross-Functional Analytical Partnering: Partner with cross-functional teams (such as Finance, HR, and Field/Operations) to provide analytical support, trend analysis, and data inputs for budget planning (such as labor hours), business reviews, and strategic initiatives.
  • Operational & Process Documentation: Assist in standardizing data processes; maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for core analytics workflows when necessary.
  • Cross-Functional Backup: Serve as a designated back-up for other core Business Intelligence activities and ad-hoc reporting needs to support overall team agility and operational continuity.
Required Experience & Competencies
  • Business Degree in related field preferred
  • At least 3-5 years experience working in analytics or related field
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications with an emphasis on Excel, Access, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Pivot; Proficient and comfort with technology and addressing troubleshooting routine technological issues
  • Experience in SQL, Big Query, DAX, and MDX preferred
  • Proven experience building models and placing models into production
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • High attention to detail; ability to produce highly accurate documents and work products in a demanding environment
  • Exceptional organization skills. Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
  • Flexible to accommodate last minute changes and demands from multiple sources
  • Excellent communication skills; listening, speaking, and written
