Job Summary

This is a high-visibility, analytically intensive role focused on supporting the company's asset management and acquisition functions across a portfolio of single- and multi-tenant commercial real estate assets. The Senior Analyst will build and maintain financial models, drive portfolio- and asset-level performance analysis, and support the underwriting and closing of acquisitions and dispositions. The role works closely with Transactions, Property Management, Investor Relations, and Accounting, and reports jointly to Asset Management and Investments leadership. It's a fast-paced, deal-driven environment that, along the way, also gives the Senior Analyst a front-row view of the full lifecycle of a deal - from acquisition through asset management and eventual disposition or refinancing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These include the following but are not limited to the job specifications contained herein; additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.

Asset Management & Portfolio Performance
  • Provide asset- and portfolio-level financial analysis and market research for a portfolio of single- and multi-tenant commercial assets, including third-party managed and receivership properties.
  • Develop working knowledge of property loan documents, partnership agreements, and leases to support day-to-day asset management decisions.
  • Support new, renewal, expansion, and contraction lease negotiations, including deal analyses for each.
  • Assist with financing, refinancing, and disposition activity across the portfolio, including lender/servicer interface and reserve administration.
  • Participate in regular calls to review portfolio and property performance; conduct site visits as needed.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial and variance analysis, reporting packages, and related Q&A for the assigned portfolio.
  • Manage, track, and organize real estate tax forms and processes across the portfolio.
  • Partner with Property Management, Investor Relations, Transactions, and Accounting to ensure alignment across shared assets and deals.

Acquisitions & Transactions
  • Underwrite prospective acquisitions, dispositions, and structured finance investments, including due diligence, market research, lease abstracting, and tenant interviews.
  • Build and maintain detailed Argus models for cash flow forecasting, sell/hold analysis, and deal-level and portfolio-level valuation.
  • Support the negotiation and closing of transactions, including buyer/seller Q&A, coordination of third-party reports, and drafting of investment memoranda for the Investment Committee and investors.
  • Participate in negotiation of purchase agreements, partnership agreements, leases, and related legal documentation.
  • Coordinate and interface directly with brokers, owners, borrowers, lenders, and equity partners throughout the underwriting and closing process.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in real estate, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in real estate finance, investments, acquisitions, or asset management; experience with office and/or single- and multi-tenant commercial properties.
  • Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills; proficiency in Argus required (certification a plus).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, with working knowledge of Word and PowerPoint.
  • Solid grasp of real estate accounting, financial statements, and variance analysis.
  • An investment mindset with strong command of financial calculations such as NPV, DCF, and IRR.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable interfacing with brokers, lenders, partners, and investors.
  • A team player able to thrive in an active, transaction-driven environment.
