Job Description

This role is responsible for advancing and modernizing DevSecOps capabilities across Aero, with a specific focus on the EC instance. It combines deep technical expertise with strong leadership to drive strategic transformation, support AI initiatives, and modernize the engineering tooling ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the modernization of DevSecOps practices and tooling, addressing current gaps relative to industry standards.
  • Drive strategic AOP commitments and upcoming initiatives within the DevSecOps and tooling space.
  • Oversee the evaluation and potential adoption of modern engineering platforms, including AI-enabled tools and GitHub.
  • Transition the organization from a reactive, support-only model to a proactive, innovation-driven approach.
  • Develop and execute a forward-looking roadmap to reduce backlog, improve operational efficiency, and scale capabilities.
  • Provide end-to-end ownership of all non-IBM Software Engineering tools, ensuring governance, consistency, and alignment with enterprise strategy.
  • Partner with engineering, IT, cybersecurity, and business teams to ensure cohesive DevSecOps adoption and tool usage.
  • Support enterprise AI and digital transformation goals through modernized workflows and platform readiness.
  • Establish standards, best practices, and operational processes to improve quality, security, and delivery outcomes.


Qualifications

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.

Must Have:
  • 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5+ years in DevOps, DevSecOps, ALM, or platform operations leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud engineering, and modern development tooling.
  • 3+ years' experience leading technical teams and driving cross-functional initiatives.
  • 3+ years' experience with AI-driven tooling, GitHub, or similar modern development ecosystems
