Join our U.S. Tax team and help strengthen compliance, reporting, and planning across a complex, highly regulated business. In this senior advisory role, you will focus on state income tax reporting while supporting broader U.S. income tax compliance, process improvement, and sound tax decision-making.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Prepare federal corporate and partnership returns, foreign information returns, and separate or unitary state income and franchise tax filings.

  • Support consolidated income tax provision activities under ASC 740 and FIN 48, including forecasts, true-ups, and financial statement disclosures.

  • Complete tax calculations for state estimated tax payments, GAAP tax provisions, depreciation, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Contribute to tax audits, research, legislative analysis, transaction modeling, and planning that reduces tax risk and supports efficient outcomes.

  • Improve tax processes through technology and workflow enhancements while providing technical guidance and training to team members.

WHO YOU ARE

  • You hold a university degree in Business Administration or a related discipline; a CPA designation and/or graduate degree is preferred.

  • You bring at least seven years of progressively responsible income tax experience, ideally within the energy industry.

  • You have strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state income tax and a solid understanding of tax accounting.

  • You are proficient with Excel and familiar with tax tools such as Corptax, OneSource, tax research platforms, and fixed-asset software.

  • You combine strong analytical, research, writing, and communication skills with the ability to manage complexity, meet deadlines, and explain tax matters to non-tax audiences.

Salary Ranges from $100,000.00 – $130,000.00 USD for US locations based upon candidate’s experience, skills, and internal equity. Applicable compensation policies and guidelines apply to internal candidates.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
