What You Will Do:
  • Lead the development and enhancement of sophisticated financial models and analytical frameworks that support Mainline tolling strategy, commercial negotiations, capital investment decisions, and long-term business objectives.
  • Provide strategic insights on trade-offs across toll design, capital recovery, investment decisions, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and scenario analyses that evaluate commercial alternatives, regulatory outcomes, investment opportunities, and strategic trade-offs.
  • Translate sophisticated financial analysis into compelling executive-level narratives and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Partner closely with Commercial, VCO, Business Development, and leadership teams to support negotiation strategies and key business initiatives.
  • Conduct benchmarking and competitive analysis related to toll structures, regulatory frameworks, returns on equity, capital structures, and industry trends.
  • Identify, assess, and communicate key risks, opportunities, and value drivers while supporting regulatory filings and financial positioning.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to analysts, ensuring high-quality financial modeling and actionable business insights.
  • Drive continuous improvement in financial modeling tools, analytical methodologies, and decision-support capabilities to enhance organizational agility and negotiation readiness.


Who You Are:
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related discipline, with 6+ years of progressive experience in financial planning, economic analysis, valuation, commercial finance, regulatory finance, or related fields.
  • Professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or MBA is considered a strong asset.
  • Advanced expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, scenario analysis, and strategic financial planning.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect financial outcomes to commercial strategy, negotiations, and organizational objectives
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders, provide strategic recommendations, and support executive decision-making.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts, frame compelling business narratives, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments, balance competing priorities, and develop insights with incomplete information.
  • Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and mentorship capabilities, with energy industry or regulated business experience considered an asset.


Preferred
  • Experience within the pipeline, energy, utilities, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of tolling methodologies, cost-of-service principles, and regulatory frameworks.


Working Conditions:
  • Primarily office-based role operating within a collaborative hybrid work environment.
  • Regular interaction and partnership with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders are essential to success in this position.
  • Occasional travel may be required to Enbridge offices and business locations as directed by management.
