Position Summary:
Responsible for supporting and being a key contributor in all finance related areas (accounting, processes and internal controls, reporting, treasury, tax, fp&a) as well as being a trusted business partner that has an operational/business mindset who can deliver results that improve the business working with business leaders and auditors. This role will step into various finance positions across Corporate and the Business Units to drive our continuous improvement culture and support teams during peak times or as positions are open for periods of time.
Position Responsibilities:
- Works effectively across the finance team and with a wide array of finance business partners ranging from hourly employees to senior management
- Project manager and/or supports various continuous improvement projects across finance that supports our finance of the future roadmap
- Able to step into various roles across the finance organization to support initiatives, support the business during peak work load, and further our standardization, automation, and analytical capabilities.
- Oversees preparation of financial statements and analysis, budgets and forecasts, and variance analysis of actual performance results.
- Maintains fiscal responsibility and ensures the establishment and administration of adequate internal controls within the organization.
- Helps drive profitable decision making and maximizing return on assets by preparing and analyzing financial data along with operational metrics.
- Understands and remains close with the operations of the business and operators, providing them with financial analysis and business insights to help with decision making
- Presents analysis findings to various leaders in the business.
Specific Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required:
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and SEC Reporting requirements
- Strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act
- Good project management skills and mindset
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Work independently with little or no oversight
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office suite of products and accounting software
- Strong analytical/critical thinking
- Big data modeling, financial modeling, automation experiences
Position Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- CPA preferred
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience, preferably at a manufacturing company
- Oracle or INFOR accounting software experience is a plus
- Advanced level MS Excel knowledge
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
