Job Overview

The Senior Accountant connects business activity to accurate financial results. You will own assigned close areas, maintain the integrity of the general ledger, and apply strong accounting judgment. You'll partner across FP&A, Billing, AP, Payroll, Treasury, IT, international subsidiaries, and external auditors to strengthen how we operate as the business grows.

This is a hybrid position, with the potential for up to 3 days per week in our Nashua, NH headquarters depending on location.

Responsibilities

  • Own assigned close areas end-to-end, including journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, intercompany, deferred revenue, equity, and reconciliations
  • Deliver a timely, accurate close and proactively identify and communicate risks
  • Prepare multi-entity journal entries and reconciliations with clear, audit-ready support, resolving issues independently
  • Apply US GAAP and internal policy to routine and complex transactions, including researching and documenting conclusions
  • Evaluate contracts and business changes and recommend appropriate accounting treatment
  • Perform variance and trend analysis with clear, concise root-cause insights
  • Execute and strengthen internal controls, maintain audit-ready documentation, and support external audits
  • Leverage systems, data, and AI and automation to streamline workflows
  • Review reconciliations prepared by offshore/global teams and collaborate to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Partner cross-functionally across Finance and the business to ensure accurate and complete results
  • Support system implementations, process improvements, and integrations as the company scales


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience (public plus industry preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP with the ability to research, conclude, and document independently
  • Proven ownership of close areas in a deadline-driven environment
  • Track record of delivering accurate, audit-ready work with strong attention to detail
  • Advanced Excel (large data sets, Power Query, pivots, lookups, complex formulas)
  • Clear written and verbal communication with senior stakeholders


Preferred:
  • CPA or active CPA candidate
  • Public accounting audit experience (Big 4 or large regional firm)
  • SaaS or subscription business experience, including ASC 606
  • Multi-entity or multi-currency environment experience
  • Experience with Sage Intacct (in use), NetSuite, or comparable ERP
  • Familiarity with Zuora, Bill.com, ADP, Planergy, FloQast, or similar tools
  • Hands-on experience applying AI and automation to close, reconciliations, or reporting workflows
  • Support of external audits or public-company reporting

  • Relocation will not be offered for this position.


Compensation

Our Compensation range for this role ranges from $95,000 to $105,000 annually, and is determined based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, and internal equity.
