SQL Developer - Healthcare Domain
Lead II - Software Engineering
We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer with strong expertise in SSRS, SSMS, SSIS, Visual Studio, and a solid background in the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data-driven solutions that support healthcare applications, reporting, and analytics.
The opportunity:
• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Design and deploy reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Build and maintain ETL packages using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Use SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) and Visual Studio for database development and troubleshooting.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and performance across systems and reports.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues and ensure accuracy of healthcare data processing.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data regulations such as HIPAA and PHI.
• Support ad-hoc data requests and generate custom reports for business and clinical teams.

What you need:
• 8+ to 10+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Developer.
• Proficiency in SSRS, SSMS, SSIS, and Visual Studio.
• Strong experience with T-SQL and relational database concepts.
• Background in the healthcare domain, including understanding of claims, eligibility, or provider data.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and handling of PHI data.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with performance tuning and query optimization.
• Exposure to healthcare data standards such as EDI (e.g., 837, 835), HL7, or FHIR.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL, Power BI, or other reporting tools.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Understanding of data warehousing and data marts.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Hybrid-Idaho
Compensation Range: $82,000-$123,000

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year) and are eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) program with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance.
Part-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).
