Description:

Position Summary Provides day to day operational oversight and supervision, training and performance reviews of pharmacist personnel. Assures the pharmacy complies with policies and procedures of the department, as well as the health system. Assures processes and policies are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as pharmacy professional standards. Assures an environment that supports safe and effective patient care.

Qualifications:

License/Certification/Registration:

*Registered pharmacist in the State of Minnesota and in good standing.

*Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 3 months of start date.

Education:

*Graduate (B.S. or PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited college of Pharmacy.

Experience:

Required:

*3 years of pharmacist experience in a health system or successful completion of an ASHP accredited leadership focused residency program.

Preferred:

*1 year of management or supervisory experience in a health system.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

*Regulatory standards and best practices for pharmacie

*Pharmacy automation system

*Sterile and non-sterile compounding

*Hazardous drug handling and preparation

*Inventory management

*Parenteral nutrition compounder

*Scheduling

*Pharmacist training
