Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience creating and managing Splunk content in a professional setting
• Proven ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot advanced SPL queries and dashboards
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell to extend Splunk functionalities
• Solid knowledge of various log data formats including JSON, XML, Syslog, and CSV with relevant Linux admin experience
• Experience integrating Splunk with broader IT tools and platforms
• Understanding of networking, systems architecture, and security fundamentals including exposure to Security Operations Centers

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize Splunk dashboards, alerts, and reports for real-time actionable insights
• Create, modify, and troubleshoot complex multi-layer searches using advanced SPL commands and macros
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing Splunk content for clarity, performance, and overall value
• Analyze complex datasets and convert them into meaningful, actionable insights
• Develop and manage scalable data models to support high-performance Splunk content
• Design and implement reliable data ingestion solutions via APIs, scripted inputs, and Universal Forwarders
• Monitor log ingestion rates ensuring data consistency and compliance with the Common Information Model
