OverviewSt. Mary's Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to support our Spinal Surgery operations. This full-time, hospital-employed position offers the opportunity to work alongside a fellowship-trained spine specialist, supporting both surgical and non-surgical spinal care across the continuum. You'll manage pre-operative and post-operative patients, assist in the OR, conduct inpatient rounding, and manage follow-up care in our outpatient clinic.

Position Highlights:- Full-time, hospital-employed position supporting a fellowship-trained spinal surgeon
- Primary APP for the spine program, assisting in surgery and providing clinical support
- Diverse caseload including degenerative spine disorders, trauma, and complex cases
- Work in state-of-the-art surgical suites with advanced imaging and minimally invasive tools
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a growing spine service line
Responsibilities:- Assist the spinal surgeon in the operating room during complex and minimally invasive procedures
- Perform pre- and post-operative evaluations, including patient education and discharge planning
- Manage follow-up care, post-surgical visits, and rehabilitation coordination in the outpatient clinic
- Conduct inpatient consults and daily rounds, maintaining continuity of care
- Evaluate and manage common spinal conditions, provide treatment recommendations, and support surgical decision-making
- Collaborate with surgical and non-surgical providers to ensure high-quality, integrated spine care
- Maintain accurate medical records and EMR documentation
- Participate in clinical initiatives, patient safety programs, and spine program development
Qualifications:Required Credentials - Certified and registered as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State Education Department (NYSED).
Preferred Experience - Previous orthopedic or neurosurgical spine experience preferred, but not required. Prior robotics experience or willingness to pursue advanced arthroscopic techniques.
Education - Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Skills - Strong clinical judgment, procedural competency, and ability to thrive in the OR and clinic. Excellent patient-centered communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits:- Base Salary Range - $131,750 and up (commensurate with experience).

Personal Protective Equipment: Adherence to Standard Precautions and utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are mandatory to ensure the safety of both patients and staff.
