Responsibilities

Full Job Description
This position would cover Skagit County (Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Wolley, Bow, Anacortes) and part of Whidbey Island (Coupeville, Oak Harbor) for home health speech therapy services.

This position works Monday through Friday day shift, with self-directed scheduling dependent on patient needs and territory. If you enjoy a high level of autonomy, travel and meeting patients where they are, apply today!

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assumes responsibility for the on-going interdisciplinary assessment and development of the individualized plan of care in partnership with the patient, their family / representative(s) and caregiver(s).
  • Provides patient, family and/or caregiver education, counseling, and refers patient to other home health services as appropriate.
  • Identifies functional speech defects and establishes a plan of care to improve function.
  • Administrates speech therapy program utilizing specialized therapeutic techniques and/or equipment.
  • Communicates with the physician responsible for the home health plan of care and other health care practitioners on an on-going basis to inform of patient's condition and progress.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Must have a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology and be licensed in the state of practice.
  • Must possess and maintain licensure to practice in the state of Washington.
  • A minimum of one year's clinical experience is required; home health experience is preferrable.
  • Possess and maintains throughout employment an active driver's license, auto insurance policy and basic lifesaving CPR.


Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of home health experience.
  • Familiarity with the Homecare Homebase / Pointcare EMR system.


Schedule, Pay and Benefits
  • Full-time, 32 hours + a week
  • Hourly pay $50 - $60 per hour, eligible for overtime.
  • Reimbursed for mileage.
  • Medical/Dental/Vision available the first of the month following hire.
  • Paid company holidays, 2+ weeks of PTO and 401k match after 90 days.
