Job Description

Provides comprehensive speech-language pathology services to patients in hospital and participates in the total plan of care as part of the health care team or director by departmental supervisor.

Job Responsibility

1.Hospital:
• Perform standardized patient testing and treatment on each patient as appropriates.
• Perform videofluoroscopic swallowing studies (optional)
• Patient education.
• Multidisciplinary care plan.
• Education for nursing staff and PCTs.
• Comply with updated forms and policies.

Job Qualification
• Master's Degree in Speech Pathology, required.
• Currently licensed in Speech Pathology in the State of New York.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, required.
• Eligibility for certification in Speech Pathology by American Speech and Hearing Association.
